These two pictures mean a lot to mean not only because of how they represent the beauty of the small things in life and the changes we have to make, but because of the memories they bring to me. Wall-e was a movie that I would sometimes watch with my whole family when I was younger. I still appreciate the times I spent with them and the memories I made.
I was inspired to take these pictures of this sea shell when I stumbled across it in a small bowl of shells and rocks we keep in our living room. I was surprised to find something with this magnitude of beauty just sitting and gathering dust. It made me think about all the small beauties of life that we as humans look over. I wanted to take the picture out in the snow to show all the gradients and spectrums of color that the shell can bring to the eyes.
Boba Fett has always been one of my favorite star wars characters because of the nature of the way he operates and is presented within the films. He was always a man of mystery and great danger. Watching his tactics and trying to dissect the way that he thought and moved was always a part of the star wars universe that was special and exciting. Legos have also been a huge part of my life growing up and I will never lose my love for all the small pieces and the creativity that comes with it.
This small rose was another thing that I just found on a small shelf in my living room. I immediately thought of how it could be such a sharp and beautiful splash of color on a darker and more plain background. Editing this was defiantly the highlight because of the way that I was making the rose almost pop out of the screen and bring to life. I used the Mosaic filter on this set because I knew that even with the filter on, the viewer would still be able to see the colors clearly and be able to determine every gradient.
This small bird ornament has been in my kitchen counter for as long as I can remember. I always admired the craftsmanship of it and the way it was put together; the way that it was made to be 3d but also to appear 2d depending on the angle in which your view it. It truly does have such a simple design while showing so much thought and creativity behind it.
